Motel-Boutique Hygge

I would definitely stay at Motel Hygge again. It's a cute and cozy motel, that's well appointed with fridge, microwave, and complimentary coffee in the room, plus breakfast boxes for a small additional fee, which made my first morning a breeze (and I bought some groceries for the remaining mornings to save $). And even though my room hadn't yet undergone the full reno/redecorate, it was still tastefully appointed and had some nice upgrades like the faux fur throw and pillow, artwork, and the fruity soap, shampoo etc. It's also close enough to walk to the main touristic area, but far enough away for some added tranquility, even though it's right on highway 362. I appreciated that the cleaning staff paid me a visit with fresh towels and toilet paper while I was out one day (and.I tipped accordingly). I also had the pleasure of meeting the owners on the beach and it's clear that they are genuinely dedicated to the guest experience. The automated check in/out system was a breeze too. I would recommend this stay!

The owners were so kind, friendly, and helpful in sharing information about Baie St. Paul! We reserved last minute, and they were very obliging. The dog baskets are a terrific idea. We were there in the midst of a snowstorm, but could towel off our dog and let him in the room without worry. The room was cozy and super-clean. The kindness and creativity the owners have brought to this place make it really special.

Clean, comfortable and newly renovated. Late night check in with simply a door code was super convenient. Comfy beds with fresh new sheets and duvets, fast Wifi, and all the amenities one would expect. Great rate as well.

I only stayed for two nights, but I really wish it had been longer! Kerri and Philippe are amazing hosts — super friendly and helpful. Before I arrived, they sent me a WhatsApp message with all the details, which made check-in super easy. My room was small but really cozy, with a cute little desk overlooking the green inner courtyard. I also got some great tips on what to do in the area. Next time, I’ll definitely stay a bit longer!

Clean and cozy place to stay, walking distances to downtown core for art galleries and great foods. It is an ideal location if you want to explore south and north regions of this area, many national parks and local sceneries to visit, and driving along the coast of the river in autumn is breathtaking. Super nice owners who are willing to go extra way to help you. Highly recommended.

Great experience at Hygge! The room was perfect - clean, great size and well furnished with all the necessary amenities. We met one of the owner and he was so sweet, with many local recommendations. Strongly recommend! You are very close to downtown area also

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Boutique Hygge! From the moment we arrived, the owner greeted us warmly and shared some fantastic local recommendations. Check-in was a breeze—no physical key required, just an easy key code. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated, with thoughtful amenities like a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee setup, and even wine glasses—perfect for relaxing evenings. I also appreciated the clever design touches: cozy shelves for charging phones and books, and night lights that made reading at bedtime so comfortable. The bed felt wonderfully comfortable, the bathroom was well stocked, and the AC and TV added to the convenience. Overall, it was a delightfully comfortable stay—I couldn’t have asked for more!

Nice motel. Room was clean and newly renovated. Nicely located near Le Massif and BSP. For the price point I give 5 stars.
